I have not used my JP40 cooler on a trip, but tested it out at home. It kept a consistent temperature once it was fully cooled. The temp on the control does not match what is inside. But, you just adjust it accordingly. The lid was sturdy. No gasket or handle issues. The unit stayed on eco and did not fluctuate on its own. The cover fit like a glove. Since I have never had an electric cooler before, I can’t judge power usage yet. But, happy so far.

I really have been enjoying this comfortable camp chair. I was impressed on how lightweight and sturdy this chair is. Also folds down to a perfect size to throw in the truck.
I have used it three times since purchase and it seems to do a fine job.
I didn’t think at first that I would use it very much, but turns out I use it almost daily. From keeping things cold from the grocery store all the way to drinks on sand bar. I’m glad I bought it.
Lid opens 3 ways, Plenty of room for a long weekend getaway with food and drinks for 2+ people. 2 days using it and my inverter source was only at 60%. Another plus its super quiet too.
Prompt shipping and no problems with the replacement. Too bad it has the same junk plastic clips that broke in the first place. No doubt I will have to do this again.

Even though the cooler came too late for my 8-day Baja trip the week before Thanksgiving, I'll be using it for a longer Baja overland trip in February. I came home to one of the coolest items of gear I've ever seen, and I've been trying out the cooler at home, as well as the battery power banks and solar panels I received right before leaving for the trip. Awesome sauce. Each battery bank gives about 20 hours of run time, so they'll easily last overnight while camped. They charge using the solar panel in less than a day, so I'll be able to keep a backup power bank topped off even during extended stays when the truck is not running. The cooler is a perfect fit in the Extended Cab area behind the passenger seat of my older Tacoma, easily accessible with its automatic slide forward when I activate the seat back lever. The 12-volt cigarette lighter plug cord is easily long enough to reach the cooler, with just enough extra to route the cord in a way that is out of the way, almost invisible. It is really handy that this cooler's lid opens either direction, to suit where I've located it. It's a bit heavy, but I don't plan on leaving it right where installed and just grabbing what I need when prepping meals or grabbing a beverage.
Bought in july, its now december. use in a lawn care truck with little to no travel time except for a 30 min average morning commute, typically by the time 11ish rolled around and my drink was gone or warm the cooler was ice cold with maybe 60min of total run time that day, after i start i typically stop and start the truck multiple time for 30-35 minute and it typically maintains temperature very well. i stock it with drink and every time i want something it does not disappoint. I've been wantingn one of these for a long time and I'm glad I finally pulled the trigger on amazon prime day 2024.
