We purchased the JP50 Pro for keeping food frozen while on road trips and while returning from the grocery store which is over an hour from our home.
Recently we took a road trip to Florida with the JP50 PRO and it performed flawlessly. Between the DC power in our Subaru Impreza and the AC power in hotels, the food was kept frozen the entire 16 days of our trip (and over 3200 miles). We are extremely satisfied with our JP50 Pro and will be using it extensively in the future.
This works great. A little expensive, but not having to climb into the bed of a lifted truck to get things makes it worth it. We mounted it to a sheet of 3/4 inch plywood so that we could remove it easily when we needed to use the bed for other things.
Fits perfectly on passenger seat..very quiet...plenty room for everything not like those cabinet fridges..control it from my phone app...money well spent!!!Thanks
I love our new IceCo cooler! After researching the quality (especially the compressor), temperature retention, functionality (i.e. dual lift lid), low power consumption, control panel, and other specs, it was a no-brainer to me that IceCo has, by far, the best quality and functional coolers out there -- the only decision for me was what size and how many zones did I need. I decided on the 63.4 QT VL60Pro with solar panel and inverter. I've already used it several times (in-home and on the road), and I couldn't be happier with this unit. Lastly, I had a discount issue (that I caused), and IceCo's help desk people were outstanding in helping me resolve the problem. Thank you!
I bought the Power Bank to run my APL55 Dual Zone fridge but also to have a minimalistic cordless look in my Jeep and it worked out perfectly. The MPB runs my fridge right now for little over 12 hours before I must charge it. I would recommend ICECO to everybody.
So far love it arrived in great shape.
Very pleased with the performance of the cooler first month. Quickly cools to set temperature and retains decent coolness for a period of time off electrical support.
I received the dual zone 55 qt. Great frig/ frez. love the control panel. The app for it is kind of of generic and needs work. Also the black is a finger print magnet. Love the slow close top. Cools down really fast and the temp is very accurate. Cords for 110 and 12 volt come with it and the plugin for 12 volt is on both ends, very handy. Really the only complaint is the weight, it's heavy but I suppose that's because it is big, good for packing your stuff but a bit hard on the old back if you are not in your 20's Over all quite pleased with it. and would highly recommend it.
Wow the JP50 goes where I go!..no more messy ice!!From the Amish Country in Ohio to the Low Lands of Charleston Sc its with me!..no problems bringing amish cheese and meats back home!!
Perfect road trip addition to our JP40 Pro
We purchased the slide mount a few months after having the APL 55 Fridge and it is so convenient! I can now access all of the food, it fits perfect in the back of my Bronco. When the fridge is not in my Bronco, I have a hard canvas bag that I fit in the slide to carry groceries and other things. Great slide mount and it is mounted to a JCR offroad floor.
Refrigerator seems to be well-made cools down quick stays cool. Can’t say the same for their customer service. Accidentally ordered a cover not knowing that it came with one. Completed the return form and never heard back. Called customer service I’m assuming they use an outside customer service everyone I spoke with seem to have difficulty understanding what I was referring to. After multiple emails back-and-forth they finally sent a return label of course that I will need to pay for out of my own pocket. You would think after spending $1000 A company would send a return label for free. very disappointed with their customer service. Hope nothing ever happens to the refrigerator/freezer.
I must say that this little fridge/freezer looks better in person. It is lightweight and easy to move around. Temperature measured from the bottom is spot on and both sides work as intended. This is my second Iceco, the first being the jp40. After testing the jp40 near my desk, I could not part with it so I purchased the Go20 for travel. Great customer service. The first one had an error, so I contacted support. A new one arrived in short order. The only improvement I would make is to include a pocket on the zippered case to store the divider in case you remove it. Great fridge/freezer and great company.
***WHAT I PAID***
$755.92 with PROMO code HOBOTECH
Excellent build quality. Trustworthy Danfross/SECOP compressor. The upgraded R513A refrigerant aids this unit well in superior cooling over its competitors. The unit is primarily metal and it feels rigid and solid. I am a big fan of the latching mechanism to close and secure the fridge door shut. That affirming click is very reassuring. Likewise the fridge door is absolutely perfect for my setup. My 12V fridge sits in the backseat of my 21 F-150 with access to the door facing the driver side of my vehicle. The positioning of the door is perfect for this exact scenario. Likewise if you have the fridge on a pull out drawer system, its front and center. Finally I love how to door is dampened and won't shut hard or on your face. Nice touch Iceco!
***HOW I POWER THE FRIDGE***
Unit is currently plugged into my Bluetti EB3A which is chained to my Bluetti EB70s for power. The reason for this chaining is so I can monitor the power level of Bluetti EB3A through the Bluetooth app (as EB70s lacks bluetooth connectivity). I lose about 5 watts of wasted power from EB70s due to transfer between cable/controller, but the trade off is worth it so I can easily tell if my fridge has power still. Power is supplemented back to the EB70s via a 200W foldable solar panel or via a 200W bluetti charger which is plugged into the 400W outlet of my F-150. With the vehicle on it will supply a constant charge of around 194 watts to the EB70S to recharge it. These solar generators are just being repurposed for exclusive 12V fridge power requirements. I have a separate, more powerful Bluetti appliance to charge my gadgets in my camper as well. The EB70S is easily one of Bluetti's worst offerings, the fact I am having to do all this because the unit lacks basic necessity to monitor it, but at the same time I don't feel like spending another $1000'ish dollars to get the upgraded unit
***WHAT I FIT IN MY FRIDGE***
This was completely just a randomized test, but its as a reference point for any of you who may want to know. The freezer was PACKED FULL (no more room) after I put in the items below. It took 30 minutes to reach 35 degrees on fridge side, and 0 degrees on freezer side, from an ambient room temperature of 68 degrees. The water in the plastic cup began to crystalize 4 hours later.
FRIDGE SIDE (this is the side closest to the LCD display):
1 gallon vitamin D whole milk
1 gallon tampico citrus punch
4 16.9oz water bottles
1 Hershey's Chocolate Syrup Bottle, 48 Oz
1 Imperial Vegetable Oil Spread, 15 oz Tub
1 Blue Bonnet Vegetable Oil Spread Sticks, 16 oz, 4 Count
1 JeashCHAT Butter Cutter
8 slices of American Cheese (2%)
4 Maria Callendar frozen dinners (9.5x7x1.5")
1 Stouffer's Meat and Sauce Lasagna Frozen Meal, 10.5 oz
4 Red Baron Mini Deep Dish Pizzas (contents taken out of original box)
4 pieces of chicken in ziploc bag (varying sizes between 8oz - 16oz)
2 pieces of steak in ziploc bag (about 10oz each)
1 16oz cup of water (for freeze test)
***ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT***
The LCD display is oriented in the wrong fashion, logically. There are 2 zones a left and a right. When you look at the temperature on the left side of the LCD display, it corresponds to the RIGHT ZONE of the fridge. If you look at the right side, it corresponds to the left. This is confusing. The temperature should match the same side of the zone its cooling. In my case I use the temperature located on the "left" side of the LCD as my freezer and the right side as my freezer. However its FLIPPED! The left side actually correlates to the right zone of the fridge, and the right temp refers to the left zone. Just match left with left. Right with right. You will know which zone side is your fridge and which zone side is your freezer logically in your head.

2. The light button on the unit is just eye candy/pointless and should be repurposed to something more useful imho. Maybe a toggle switch to turn off LCD screen and interior lights to conserve energy for example.
3. It lacks any mobility features (i.e. wheels or a pull out handle to carry like luggage).
Perhaps you can make a see thru window to look inside the fridge from the side panel. Either you can make a detachable side panel w/insulation that when removed shows the glass or just make one side of the unit all glass so you can peek in without opening the door which dissipates all the cool air. Dang kids taking forever to pick out what they want!
Child proof lock. See above lol
