Product works well

Works great, but temp readout is wrong

I've been using my VL45 for several years now on camping trips and as a backup freezer/fridge at home and am very satisfied with it. It cools quickly, stays cool, and for the most part sips power. Usually I run it off a car battery but if I'm camping for a few days I use a Milwaukee M18 battery box that is converted down to 12v and I can get roughly 12-24 hours on a fully charged 12.0ah battery. Very happy with that. My one complaint is that the temp gauge is not accurate at all and as others have stated, it reads 8-10 degrees lower than the actual temp. Minor problem but should be addressed.

Product Updated

Warning that this product has been updated yet they're still using the old advertisements. The basket layout was changed to where there is a lower and upper basket, which means the upper basket must be removed every time you want to access the lower basket which can be inconvenient plus forces things like half gallon of milk to be placed on side and they often leak if aren't upright. Reached out to customer service few days ago to see if old baskets are available but so far told it can take a while for them to check with the warehouse. We wouldn't have ordered this if knew about the change as it doesn't work well for our use. Also the temperature sensor is off by about 10 degrees on ours, we had to set it to 30 to maintain under 40 for food safety.

Very satisfied

Web use the cooler in a small RV. The cooler make very litle noise and is very energy efficient wich is important for us since web run it on the battery with solar pannel. Very good by.

I have used this vl45 a few times and really like it- no worries about ice and consistent temps inside the fridge. Im using a bluetti 200 max to power it and find that the fridge is using 200w/h a day on eco mode (70s during the day and 40s at night).
