47.5QT VL45 Portable Fridge Single Zone Freezer| ICECO

I got this fridge when a giant heavy cooler wasn't cutting it anymore for longer trips. It's been on several road trips and a couple runs through the Rubicon in the back of my Land Cruiser. I set it down to 27 degrees and will a single 100 watt solar panel, I never have to think about it.

Overall I'm very happy with the fridge but it's not perfect. The interior doesn't seem sealed so I'm worried about condensation, spills etc getting inside the fridge components so I'll need to use something to seal that up. The temp setting also isn't accurate, I have it set to 28, liquids don't freeze and i suspect it's more like 38. I'll get a thermometer at some point. Using an eco flow river 2 Max with 500 watt hours I can easily run the fridge for 2 days. With solar and truck charging it will run forever. A cheap fridge with poor insulation would require a much more expensive power setup

I thought since I have been using the L45 for over 1 year, that I would add my two cents. The VL45 is the best thing since sliced bread.... I bought the VL45 and after using a discount code the total price was 475 dollars. It came in the mail Apr. 8th 2022. I can not be more happier with this unit, it runs 24/7 with no problems what so ever. If it is not in the back of my truck running off of DC power, it is in our computer room running off AC power. The only thing I hate is I should have gotten a bigger unit. Not to say that the VL45 is not big enough, its plenty big enough for just me and the wife food / drink needs for sure.

I use to work as an EMT and always had ice cold drinks as well as food to be cooked on our work shift. Our crew would have a money pot so we would all pitch in and buy the food and drinks that we wanted for the days we would work for the two weeks, and I would keep everything in the VL45 so that the on coming crews would not raid steal and eat when we was not on shift. and believe you me, they would eat anything that was not nailed down. and if you are one of those people then shame on you for 30 days LoL.

But all in all you can not go wrong when it comes to getting the VL45 you will lay in bed at nights thinking why you never got one sooner. Trust me I did,

We bought the Iceco 45VL and the slide to mount in our Jeep. 10 days into our trip and it has worked flawlessly. Very surprised at how little power it draws from our Bluetti 716Wh battery pack each night. Never woke up with less than 80% charge.

This is the 3rd ICECO we have purchased and Love all three of them.
