best money ever spent for portable fridge / freezer

I replaced my original EcoFlow Glacier, which had the built-in ice maker, with this unit, and I am extremely pleased with it.
Since receiving it, I've been running several real-world tests using it exactly the way I plan to while camping, even though I'm currently testing it at home. I initially tested it with the smaller compartment as the freezer and the larger compartment as the refrigerator. I then reversed the configuration, using the large left compartment as the freezer and the smaller right compartment as the refrigerator. That has become my preferred setup because I prepare and freeze a lot of meals ahead of time so I don't have to cook every day while traveling.
I currently have the freezer set at -2°F and the refrigerator at 39°F. It maintains its temperatures extremely well, even when I'm going in and out of it for three to five minutes at a time, and sometimes longer.
I've also been very impressed with its power consumption. Using a 2k+ power station, I got approximately 80 hours of operation before the power station was depleted, with no solar or other source recharging it. I'm currently testing the same large-freezer/small-refrigerator configuration with a 3k power station. At the five-day mark, the power station still had 12% of its original charge remaining, again with no solar or other source recharging it.
I also ran one test using the ICECO battery and got more than nine hours, but I went to sleep before the battery was completely depleted, so I don't know the actual runtime. I plan to repeat that test using my current large-freezer/small-refrigerator configuration.
For comparison, my previous EcoFlow Glacier batteries were advertised for up to 40 hours in Eco mode, but in my own testing I was lucky to get about eight hours from each battery. The APL35 and my current power setup have been far superior for the way I actually camp.
My only initial concern about switching to the APL35 was its smaller overall capacity. My EcoFlow had a larger refrigerator compartment and a freezer compartment that was about 3 liters larger. However, I've learned how to pack the APL35 efficiently. I recently discovered that, between the food I can carry in the APL35 and my dry pantry supplies, I can carry close to a month's worth of breakfasts and dinners.
And dropping roughly 20 pounds from the refrigerator I have to lift and move is a very welcome bonus.
So yes, I am very, very pleased with the APL35. It has exceeded my expectations, and I feel confident using it as my primary refrigerator/freezer when I begin traveling and camping full-time.

Just Amazing. Awesome Product

The ICECO APL35 has been one of my favorite purchases for our trips and outdoor adventures. It cools down fast, and keeps temperatures consistent. I set it to ECO for the night time and MAX for the day time while I use the portable solar panel. Overall, it’s reliable, convenient, and definitely worth the investment.

Brought for my Cybertruck, could not be happier. Current draw is negligible, perfect size for truck bed at tailgate. Never seen a an icebox cool down to operational temperatures so fast. Never leave home without it. So many uses.

Great tool for staying healthy on the road

I travel full-time and solo in my tiny Food Transit Connect and have Parkinson's disease, Part of staying healthy involves good nutrition, something that can be difficult if you're not close to grocery stores. My old fridge worked well but did not have a freezer capability and that's why, after a lot of research, I bought the APL35. It allows me to carry enough frozen protein for at least a week and also lots of fresh fruits and veggies in the large fridge side. It's a game changer and allows me to be out in nature without having to constantly worry about getting to a grocery store. I'm so appreciative of this as my goal is to stay active and adventuring as long I can stay healthy. Thanks ICECO!

Great fridge, battery and Solar panel.

I bought this as it met the height requirements to fit under my tonneau cover, work with my custom-designed truck bed storage system/fridge slide, and still fit with clearance.

I have TRD OR 23’ in Tacoma under the retrax XR cover.

Fridge:
Pros:
It's a great size for solo camping for an extended period or a short trip with a few friends. There are no ice trips at gas stations. The app works fairly well and is easy to use. It's a very nice-looking cooler, and it's very energy efficient.

Con’s: (minor complaints in big picture)
The aluminum bottom dents under the weight of 12-ounce cans in a car. Any movement will make minor dents that don’t affect usability.
The app logs you out about every two weeks. If this happens while camping, that’s annoying. It will be a pain even if it hasn’t happened yet, and the Iceco login process is odd and cumbersome.

Batter & solar panel combo:
Pros: test time ran for about 20 hours in July in my garage in Salt Lake, Utah, greater area. Similar run time in Ephriam Mountains camping in August. This is without any power input and fridge pre-cooled from a wall outlet. 5% charge loss in 1 hour. (Both sides set to 32 degrees F)

The battery will charge off my Tacoma bed without tripping the breakers using the truck bed outlet. I have a second backup battery (both 250wh) that can charge in the cab using 12 volts. This leaves me 40ish hours without any power to run the fridge on two small compact batteries. The max wattage pull is 100W, which works with low-wattage charges (for me, this was huge).

Solar panel charges the battery very quickly when hooked up. (I have one, and it keeps batteries topped off at 100% in the day's heat if they are in direct sunlight. Will top off the battery and run the fridge for a few hours. The result of this battery over a larger bank is more charge options, leading to greater flexibility.

You can see temps in the truck cab or my RTF using app.

Cons: Once or twice, I haven’t noticed the 12-volt plug come out of the fridge/power bank connection. (Even with the 4-prong connector) I habitually check the fridge every 5 minutes after using it to ensure I don’t accidentally lose power. This battery would be perfect if it used a more secure connection.

Rock solid in every way!

The APL35-Black is undoubtedly the best car fridge I've ever owned. I waiting to purchase until they came out with the black version. The fridge is so energy efficient compared to older models. Combined with 200 watts of solar, I can keep the freezer on with no problem. The only thing I noticed when using the smaller chamber as a freezer is that wall on the fridge side will frost up. Also accumulates frost on the top of the chamber partition. Other than that, I'm very happy with the product!

Perfect fridge! I was camping at desert for few days and it kept my food cold at triple numbers temps outside as a champ! I also used external solar power generator to make sure fridge runs non stop. Thinking to get ICECO powerbank for the short trips. Awesome Job ICECO!

Light and Efficient

Good size for me and appears well built. I love the design and how light it is. It is efficient and does a good job in keeping cold when connected to a stable power source. Tends to generate E3 codes and stops working when the power source is less stable; this leads to worry about it failing without my knowing as there is no notification until you look at the front panel or try to access it via the app.

Mixed feelings

I wanna start with the absolute positive and that is the customer service from Iceco! I ordered the dual zone freezer and as things happen it came with a part that was broken. They were very fast and responding with a replacement part however, the part would've needed me to cut wires and make more repairs than I felt comfortable as to not void the warranty. They then sent a replacement cooler. I sent the old one back. I had a problem with the same part, but not as extensive as the first one. This is a design flaw. The part of the cooler that you plug into either AC or DC power is secured by plastic clips that bend and break. This is a critical part of this piece of equipment. It should have a better way of being retained. Because you're going to plug and unplugged into this port numerous times. I believe that they should get rid of the clips and put screws and mount it better. That is my only problem with this unit.

So far so good

Have not used it for intended overland trip yet. Got it on sale in off season. But quality build, look, and function. It gets cold fast, as advertised.

Another fantastic ICECO product

This was a replacement for our apl55. The 55 is functioning just fine, it was just a bit too big with what we were adding next to it. So we went with this super light and slightly smaller one. Works great, it’s quiet as a church mouse. Zones work flawlessly and the display is much nicer as a bonus. The insulated cover is a must for the summer heat !

I love that you can control from your phone

I love that you can control from your phone. I’ve had the VL45 for 6 years and had to use the buttons on the side and had to pull the fridge out from where i have it sandwiched so there is no side access , kinda of a pain til this one came out

Cool

I got the APL35 cooler and battery pack. So far its working great, like the app controls and monitoring. Put a fridge thermometer inside each side and the temps stayed accurate within 1-2 degrees. Looking forward to many good trips with this thing.
Side note - the coolers went on sale 16 days after I received mine, iceco would not guarantee a sale price . Recommend waiting for a sale !

APL 35 dual review!! Ready for any trip !!

I love my APL35 dual zone fridge/freezer!! This has been the best chest that I’ve ever purchased, seriously! The joy of not having to deal with the hassle of ice then draining etc,, I can change it with my phone from cooling to freezing either compartment that is needed, and it’s ultralight. Also, a huge shout out to Kelsey and the ICECO support team for helping me solve any issues/questions that I’ve experienced, educating me, and pointing me in the right direction to resolve. I also have the magnetic battery pack that works flawlessly when charging at the beach, camping spot, or wherever. They definitely have thought of everything! Looking at purchasing another one in the future!! Keep making amazing products! Can’t wait to get my insulated cover also b

Ready for this Fall

Though it hasn't been used on a trip yet, I have done an operational test. It looks awesome and matches my black truck. It runs great and is whisper quiet. You can hear the compressor, but if I'm on the other side of the room, I can't hear it. Op test performed excellent. I love this fridge.

Review apl35

Just the right size. Bought a different brand and wasn't satisfied at all. Have a go20 so I looked at the apl35 so far I'm very impressed less than 400 watts daily. I've since bought the cover and now using 50 to 60 watts less daily right around 350 watts. I know it's only been about two weeks and I don't usually write a review but this is a very nice 12volt refrigerator. If you need a dual zone small refrigerator good for a weekend with two people. This is the one you won't be disappointed.
