I have this in my cargo camper conversion. I love it, I say the fridge is king. I run it off 12v 100 amp hr battery and it sips about 3 amps while running and runs maybe 1/3 of the time, so 1-2 amps per hour is what it draws. I have used the thick styrofoam it came with to further insulate the sides and it also sits on styrofoam. The top lids are kept covered with a towel. With all the insulation on it it is almost silent when running, was quiet before, but I could tell when it started up, now is more quiet.
The cooling fan went out and this shut down the entire fridge, so that trip ended, but they warrantied the fan and I got an extra one as a spare.
Fridge is mounted so never moves so I removed the protective cover at the compressor so I would not have to remove fridge if I ever need to replace fan again. I just have a make-shift cover in place that removes easy and provides a lot more air flow too.
The DC power cable is way too thin, the wire gauge is silly how thin it is, but the fridge works, only the volts drop by 1 volt when running (the readout on the fridge itself, not the battery), prob because of this thin wire. If you have the skills, then I suggest to hardwire in a heavier gauge power feed to the DC part of the plug rather than the wimpy plug provided, solder it to the board if you can.
Occasionally, twice in the past few years, the fridge has turned off on its own for no reason, so keep an eye on it. Otherwise has functioned perfect and in 110 degree desert summers.
