Purchased this for a 10 day trip in Central CA. Summertime. Ice gets expensive in those small cities, so I thought I'd save myself soggy food and some money. I camp frequently, so this will pay for itself quickly. I maintained it in a low freezer temperature and kept the items I didnt want frozen on top. Worked great. My friend purchased the dual zone and my method worked almost the same as her dual zone. Customer service is top notch! I purchased this on a pre-order during Prime and they really helped ensure that I received it before I left to go camping. Communication was a breeze and the responsiveness was appreciated!
...I'm coming off a small RV with a full time 12v Isotherm refirgerator, powered by immense batteries that run this for weeks. So that is my "Gold Standard"
But i've now downsized to a Tacoma pickup, but still want a small fridge. I chose this JP Pro 40 because it:
-fit inside my bed/box, with a tonneau cover
-would run off the 12v outlet in the bed
-would continue to run with the optional battery, for 8-10 hours, or more
-had wheels and handle, to move to a hotel room, if traveling
So far (3 weeks), it does ALL those things very well. The optional battery can hold the temp for 10+ hours before requiring recharge (but then we are back on the road, and the battery will charge as well as supply current to the fridge.
So, PROS?: all as above, plus:
-when powering on, it reaches the set temp very quickly, within 10-15'.
CONS?: very few:
-the ACTUAL interior temperature may vary from the SET temperature, by 8-10 degrees F. That's what I always have a separate dedicated thermometer inside the unit.
-I'm still figuring how to secure the unit inside my truck bed, and yet make it easy to remove. A dedicated floor plate, which would accept the unit, would be ideal. For now, it's bungees and other tie-downs.
-I'd like to see more choices for interior "baskets" to hold stuff. They include just one. But having 2-3 baskets. that could layer, would be ideal.
Don't get me wrong: I really like this. Just sayin'...
Took my cooler dry camping off grid the first week I got it and it met and exceeded my expectations. It even survived a bear attack.. HAHA. A bear got into our camp and tore the cover but the cooler survived with a small battle wound. The cover wasn’t so lucky.

This is my second iceco,I have the jp pro dual zone and it works great Absolutely no issues,this new one is a single zone and I use it as a deep freezer. I'm a truck driver and both are always on while I'm out on the road(24-30 days)I'm able to eat alot healthy now.wish I would of bought these years ago. Thank you iceco, Love these coolers

I bought this to use for camping when the refrigerator in our pop up camper died. I like that it has wheels which makes it easy to transport. It is also a good size for our family of 4. We are running it using our Jackery 2000 power back and it lasts us for over a week while keeping all of our food cold.
Several years ago I purchased two JP50's. I was very happy with them. They ran quietly and cooled fast. I did wish it had wheels. My wish was answered with the new version, the JP50 Pro. It now has wheels and a handle! The lid also now opens either way. The display is improved. There are more improvements I'm sure, but those are the ones that matter most to me. I keep these coolers for several reasons. One is in case of a power outage these coolers can run more efficiently off of a (solar) generator. Another is for overflow if I have too much stuff to fit in my freezer/fridge. Finally, I use them for travel, to keep my raw cat food and my own food fresh. It's much easier and cleaner than trying to stock ice all of the time. So thanks to Iceco for such a reliable and useful cooler!
Fridge is great! Would get 5 Stars, but the lid is loses and can feel cold air escape. I reached out to Iceco and. They had me put a flash light inside and see if I could see light. I did and I could see light all the way around. They then told me it was normal for the lid to be lose. I disagree. Cold escaping through lid is not efficient. I’ll find a proper gasket and make work the way it should. Other than that it’s fantastic!

It’s a great portable fridge. The wheels on the fridge make it easy to move on the ground. The many ways you can open the top are convenient. I like how the display reflects what the temperature actually is inside the fridge. The Bluetooth connection is great for monitoring what’s going on with the fridge while I’m driving. The insulated bag helps with maintaining temperature.

A well designed portable cooler that is perfect for short or extended camp trips. We use it in our RV as an additional freezer and it maintains the freezing temps well. It seems to be well built and durable. The wheels could be a little bigger, but they suffice. The handles are perfect. The power cable connections on BOTH sides of the cooler make it very convenient for any setup. We connect it to the RV's engine battery via the car adapter cable and also to our portable power station when boon-docking. It also seems to be well insulated with the additional cover. The phone app helps to monitor the temps and make changes, but it not that important. Hopefully this cooler will last us the next 10+ years!
No more buying ice each day at the campground store at a cost of $8.49 for two 5-pound bags that will last 1 day. It is really hard to keep your food from becoming soggy with a cooler filled with ice

Fits perfectly in the back of our extended cab truck right behind the driver's seat and it is super silent when the compressor kicks on. From the passenger seat, my wife can excess whatever is needed while I'm driving on the road.
I really like the wheels; we unplug the unit and wheel it to a rest stops picnic table for an hour, eat our meal and plug it back in to our trucks 12vt with very little temperature loss, so the insulation is really good. Love that it is AC powered so I can prechill at home before heading out. Our experience has been 35 minutes to run the temperature down to 35 degrees when hooked to AC power inside my home in my non airconditioned 85-degree garage.
Love the insulated bag. It does help in keeping the temp. stable inside the IceCo. Love how it protects your investment from dings, and it looks great too. It has 2 pockets for your cords, and I also keep the owner's manual in there, not that have read it extensively because the online reviews (YouTube) of this frig by some hardcore overlanders have been fantastic. Go online and do the research like I did and see for yourself why these hardcore overlanders pick IceCo before you pull the trigger. BTW I use an Ecoflow River Pro2 750-watt power station to run this thing off gride for around 2 days without a recharge. When hooked up to my 200watt solar panel to recharge the Ecoflow, I can run the IceCo JP50 and other smaller things indefinitely. The 50quart capacity is great for 2 people (we like to eat well in camp and like to carry a variety of meats, milk, veggies, fruits, coffee creamer ext. Tip: the deep container of this frig, is used for our food with 2 drinks only to keep super cold. The second shallower compartment is for drinks only. We carry plenty of water and sodas in their containers separately and just keep replacing them in the IceCo when needed. That way we keep more variety of food, then drinks. Since this frig/freezer is not dual zoned. I want to experiment one day with 2 ice bricks, one on the bottom of a small ice-cream container and the other ice brick on the top to see if a can keep the Ice Cream from melting for a couple of days as a treat for us at camp. Well, that's it, this JP50 Pro was a great investment. Do your research and see what size and style is right for you but definitely buy the brand IceCo. for its efficiency and build quality. The refrigerator performed well on our first trip. It is installed in our van while camping. Our site did not have power so we ran off battery overnight at refrigerator setpoint while parked and we still had battery capacity the next day. The refrigerator is also very quite. No complaints. It would be nice if the cover was a color other than black so it did not absorb energy from the sun. Ideal would be white or grey but understand the potential to show dirt.
Installed in back of 4runner. Fits/runs great off of Jackery. Solid fridge, no issues with bouncing around on trails, keeps the beer cold! Very efficient as well.
I purchased this product in hope that it would cater to all my needs. The big compartment cooler sits right behind my driver seat. It allows easy access to drinks and snacks while driving on the road, also provide another seat for my wife when she is in the back and wants to say hello. We don't go the supermarket daily and this is a great addition to keep food cool until we reach home. You can plug the cooler into the 12V outlet under the seat or plug it directly into the ECOFLOW and keeps it going for days. We keep the cooler in the cover because it makes it look sleek. The only noise you we hear is the beeps that we turn it on or change the temperature. The cooler lives in the van and completely fits our needs. We've spent months debating on the right cooler; from cheaper one's on amazon to the built in ones for the sprinter van. You pay for what you get when you read all the reviews of each product. I'm glad I chose this cooler!!! Almost forgot, I love the built in wheels!!! It helps load things into it when the wife goes grocery shopping. We pull it out to the door, load it, then push it back in. GREAT PRODUCT!!!
Been using the ICECO JP40Pro a few months for car camping trips, and it’s been fantastic. The wheels and handle make it super convenient to move around, and the build quality feels really durable. It’s definitely made my camping setup a lot more comfortable! Can't wait to see how it performs when summer hits here in SoCal.
I have shut done my main frig and only use this JP50. It works great and the cover is a real Bo us. Saving money running frig off solar batteries.
I have had my Iceco JP40 since November of 2020 and I could not be happier with my choice to go with Iceco. I debated on going with a different well known brand but went with Iceco because of their growing reputation and quality parts. And quite honestly you get a lot of bang for your buck. The refrigerator has been front and center for all of my off-road travels and it even gets lots of use at my home. So it serves double duty. Recently I experienced an error code and immediately reached out to Iceco for guidance. They were extremely professional, responsive and helpful. Even though I have an older unit they still stood behind their product 100% and that is very much appreciated. If you are still considering Iceco just be reassured that you are getting a quality unit with a company that stands behind their brand.
The cooler is great. Whisper quiet performance and spacious enough for extended travel. We had a problem with the cooler cover not fitting which turned out to be our fault, but customer service went above and beyond to remediate the situation. Highly recommend the product, and a big thank you to Carmy at customer service.
I got the jp40pro to install between the front seats in my truck. It was hard to find a fridge narrow enough to fit and with the door opening the right way. The jp40pro fit perfect and is very efficient. I can run it for almost 4 days on a 1500WatHr battery without recharging.
