We bought an APL55 to eliminate ice purchases for our 2 45qt coolers. Over the last 10 years we have probably spent enough on ice to buy the rv park we stay at. Pleasantly surprised that the APL55 held as much as our two ice coolers. No spoilage either.
I have two APL55s with covers, both are mounted in the back of my two Jeep Gladiators. Both Jeeps are Garage stored and only used for backcountry adventures. Both refigerators and covers are mounted in the back of the bed and covered via rack and accessories at least 80%. The worst picture shows my Willys with approx 5k outdoor miles on it since the cover was installed. The second pic shows my Mojave with no more than 2500 miles on it since the cover was installed. I just got back from CO and literally watch the stitching disintegrate in front of me. The APL55 is a great fridge, but I don’t believe the cover is ready for anything more than being kept inside an air conditioned vehicle. 😢
The cover arrived as stated and well packaged. The construction quantity is top notch. It snugly covered the fridge and the openings were perfect. It’s satisfying to purchase a product that meets all expectations. Well done ICECO.

While the cover does a nice job of protecting against dense scratches, scrapes and bumps. The Velcro on the long sides makes it quite annoying to open and close as well as noisy when trying to open in camp at night. Other than that, very happy with the purchase, I would suggest that perhaps magnets get used instead of Velcro on the next version.

The insulated cover looks great, and adds not only a layer of insulation but also offers protection. The fit is perfect. I would suggest this to anyone who owns the APL55.
Overall I have been very pleased with the protective cover for the APL55. It seems to be well made and I love the top pocket that is designed to hold the divider wall while not in use. My one complaint with the design is the Velcro connection of the lid to the base. It definitely keeps everything snugly locked down and held together, which is actually my issue. It adds one more obstacle to opening up the lid. This is made worse when the cooler is mounted in a truck bed or other orientation that make reaching to unfasten the Velcro more difficult. I would recommend the use of magnets so the flaps are secured, but when lifting the lid they can just slide apart without having to be unfastened.

I’m really impressed with the ICECO APL55 Insulated Protective Cover. It fits my freezer perfectly and the pockets and fastening points are clearly well thought out; everything stays organized and the cover never shifts. I love the access panels and venting; they make using the freezer so much easier. The insulation is fantastic and the tough outer layer has already protected the surface from dings and scratches. It’s boosted efficiency and honestly adds real value. Highly recommend!

The cover fits great, nice and tight, but I think adding a small amount of tape to stick the cover to the side and front would be great. Not sure how I like the idea of pulling it apart every time I need to open it, but that shouldn’t happen very often
I like it it help the cooler keep colder . I would as would like to be able to talk to someone about something’s that I am have going on with my power pack
Could use wheels tho or an accessory dolly type deal. Or perhaps a small donkey to help move it when it’s full.
I can’t say enough good things about Iceco products and their customer service! I own a 55 fridge and cover. They both add a great deal to my camping and overall overlanding experience. When I had questions or concerns their customer service went out of their way to make sure I was happy with their product!
The cover fits the fridge well and seems to be made of quality materials and workmanship. Time will tell once on the road.
Fit is excellent and the added storage pockets are great. A few Velcro strips cut to length to cover the lid tabs work great for quick access. Only wish it came in black as the the silver deff gets dirty and shows our dog's black hair anytime he's in the back next to it.
Has been rock solid except for an episode where it would not cool until I powered it down for several hours. Happened after it was already cool and I removed the divider. Has been fine since. Get a lot of compliments and questions when people see it.
This cover is a great fit. Hugs the APL55 nicely and the extra storage pockets for the internal dual zone divider, external battery and cords are worth the price of admission by themselves. Having a place for everything attached to the fridge really helps with gear management. My only minor complaint, a small one, are the side flaps on the lid cover that velcro to the body sides. They can be irritating to undo every time during periods of high use. A simple design change by adding a snap or velcro on each corner to keep the flaps folded up out of the way when opening the fridge during high traffic times would be fantastic. You can easily add snaps yourself, but if you don’t want to permanently modify the cover you can cut a piece of nylon strap to correct length, add velcro to each end and attach it to each flap to hold them up by running it through the factory tie down openings on the top of the cover. If you already own the cover or once you receive yours the fix is self explanatory. Insulation properties aside, the cover offers great protection and is a small price to pay for added peace of mind. Very satisfied.
So far the cover is great, it’s only been on for about a week. People had commented on all the Velcro tabs so I just put Velcro over some of the tabs which makes it easier to get into.
The cover is made of rugged material with handy storage pockets and ventilation where needed. A light amount of insulation also helps with battery usage. Minor complaint is the door cover Velcro does its job but can be annoying to detach when the fridge is up against the side of the vehicle. Overall very happy to have this on my APL55.
My ALP55 is probably one of my favorite parts of my bed build. The fridge/freezer is hands-down The best I have ever had. the cover was the perfect addition to not only insulate but protect my unit. It is also gives me a little more peace of mind. Something bumps up against the stainless. I have also got to say these are great people to deal with. I had the opportunity to meet a few at the MORRE expo this year they answered a few questions I had and the attention they gave to the other customers at the booth was second to none.
I purchased this fridge/freezer along with 4ea 100ah LiTime Mini Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries. I've also tested run time with my Bluetti AC180. The Bluetti can run the APL55 forever in conjunction with the 200w solar panels to charge during each day. And can run flat out (no power input) for 58-60 hours to the point the bluetti shuts down to protect itself. Each 100ah Li Time mini can run the APL55 for 76 hours with the APL55 set on ECO & High Battery Protection Mode. The temperatures hold exactly on the displayed settings. So with over 15 days of run time on batteries only, I am one happy camper! All were done at a constant temp of 72deg (in the house). Run time didn't change with a full volume of food or empty. Your findings will probably differ from mine. Take notes like I did during testing.
