I do love the black coating, there is a slight inconsistency with the coating near one hinge on the back but no biggie for me. It does cool down very quickly as stated and I put a layer of paper towels down to minimize denting the aluminum walls. Two things I wish, better insulation to retain cooling for a bit longer than 20mins when not plugged in, the other being my smaller side can’t maintain a steady -4F like the big side as it goes up to +6F then goes back down. But when maintaining 30F both sides hold and maintain spot on. Great product to have and be used, I’ll be investing in a battery pack so when I’m not in the car the cooler can continue running and maintaining. Also, yes it is very quiet in max mode just a slight hum. I drive an F250 with a 7.3 diesel and I can’t hear much anyways with my music on full blast.

I am very satisfied with this refrigerator. It works extremely well even in direct sunlight. I purchased it with the extra battery. This gives multiple options for use! don’t hesitate to purchase!

The all aluminum construction of the APL35 in black is just as beautiful on the outside as it has been efficient on the inside.
The larger section is the perfect height for upright wine bottles and just about anything that fits on the top shelf of the home fridge. The smaller sized compartment is the perfect freezer size for a couple of boxes of Johnny Pops, and a quart sized carton of ice cream!

We are ready to head out on our two week long overland adventure. So far the camping that we’ve done we are very pleased , fast cool down on the fridge. Nice amount of space,It’s exactly what we were hoping for! If you were on the fence about this fridge, just do it you will not regret it

This fridge is just amazing and has changed my family’s lives. So simple to use right out of the box. It just works and works amazingly. No more ice and no more melted ice. Always have a place to store our food. But not just for camping but day to day. We leave this in our car always running for grocery shopping and we don’t know how we have loved without it. Highly recommend and a must have.
