Workhorse

I received my APL35 from the Indiegogo fundraiser. It's been on 3 overlanding trips so far and has proven to be quite the workhorse. The dual zones cool to the set temperatures very quickly and maintain them efficiently despite numerous openings and closings. When not on trips, my fridge doubles as a drink cooler at home.

A National Treasure (I should know if you do a little homework)

Just returned from a 14 day national park tour and my ICECO worked like a champ... I was living out of my Jeep in very hot (above 90 degrees) and then very cold (below freezing) I had no issues and manageable draw on my battery . Well done ICECO and I look forward to many more sequels together...

First drop shipment at my house was damaged during shipping. The company tried to buy me off with a free cover. I rejected that attempt and demanded my a refund or another new unit. I returned the original unit and later received a brand new unit. My observation is that the packaging is not adequate for shipping a $750 fragile piece of equipment. The sides and ends of the internal packaging only airspace and a thin layer of cardboard. These items get thrown around by the shipping companies I wonder how many get damaged. I think my first one was pierced by a forklift or dropped from a high place to damage the corner of the unit.
Now the replacement unit has been running for about 10 days nonstop as a test of function. It holds temperature well and uses a modest amount of 12v power on max. It appears that the actual temp is about 3-5 off of the set temp.
The unit has nice appearance but will probably get dented and scratched so I found a cover for it. The main mfg website does not have a cover for sale so I scratched around and found one on line. Nice fit.
I have run it for a week non stop and it had run without any problems. I run it on 12v batteries and it is very efficient. The temperature setting and the actual temp in the box is about 3-4 degrees off of a thermometer. I runs pretty quiet also. I got a cover for it off the web from a van builder.

Great fridge

Perfect size fridge/freezer!

I purchased my APL35 this summer and have used it in my van for 5 trips so far. I previously purchased the Anker 50L Everfrost last year, but returned it because it was too heavy and large for my van. The APL35 is an awesome size! It rides in my passenger seat, but also fits in the rear of my Transit, or easily can get carried into a hotel room if I need extra space. The dual zone works great to refreeze icepacks (I pack a small cooler for work when I'm travelling and dual-zone was a must-have). It's lightweight, love the interior light, and the USB on the outside was great when I ran it off my van's 12v but needed to charge my phone. So far my only suggestion would be make the inner material slightly more rigid to prevent dimpling/creasing. And a single latch to make it one-handed entry would be great. But overall 10/10 and would purchase again.
