Can the magnetic battery be magnetised to the APL20?

As the APL20 is made of aluminium, it cannot be attached directly to the magnetic battery, which can be attached to the fridge by using a magnetic panel.

Amazing quality

So far so good, this is my second iceco cooler and the fit and finish on the APL20 is far superior than my previous model. It has been working great on my first short trip and I’m hoping it runs for years to come. Great latches, great finish quality and super quiet!

I should have purchased one a long time ago

This cooler has been rock solid for van life. I'm able to keep it powered from my battery which is charged by a 100 watt solar panel. It's relatively quiet, looks great, and works perfectly. One of the latches is a little looser than the other but it's not a big deal.

surprisingly good in high heat

this has been in my car since the day i got it. direct sunlight, 95-degree heat. it doesn't matter. my water stays reliably cold. id probably go with a lithium backup battery instead of the supplied battery if i had to purchase in the future. but it does well too.

Had a problem with my fridge not getting cold. Wrote to ICECO support. Very quick reply. We went back and forth trying to diagnose the problem in case it was easily fixed. No result but they sent me a replacement even though they didn't have to.
I'm happy as I have a fridge again. I found it to be reliable on many trips and a perfect size for my tacoma camper cab. One other thing I like about this fridge is that it is so quiet compared to my old Dometic which makes a difference when you are sleeping close by.
