Now that I've had an opportunity to use the cooler I want to add what a game changer! My last review was of a limited usage so I needed to add this. There is a light inside the cooler that is awsome! It also cools down fast, has a small enough footprint in the jeep but tonnes of space inside. Both sides work great! I'll be getting the slide unit for this sometime in the future. Battery is a great addition and valuable as you don't necessarily need an additional power source, depending on your application. Love it!

Good freezer but questionable business practices. They lowered the price of the freezer by $180 a week later but would only price match a small fraction for me.

Approximately a month ago i recieved my APL35. The timing couldn't have been more perfect. Three days after the delivery of my APL35 my kitchen refrigerator went out. The APL35 was pressed into service.

The cooler worked flawlessly. I had it plugged into AC power, using the AC power cords that were suppled by ICECO. The app worked well and was easy to set up. I used the larger area as a fridge and the smaller compartment as a freezer. There were no issues and the APL worked as advertised.

There are a few items that need to be noted for anyone wanting to purchase one of these and for ICECO to take note. The app is easy to use and set the temperature, however there were times that I would notice a change in the temperature which was different than what I had set. For example, if i set the temperature at 30 degrees on the app, i would see the same temperature on the APL35 display. However a few hours later i would see 32 degrees on the display and when i checked the App, it would also show 32 degrees. At first I thought maybe i just remembered incorrectly, however this happened several times over the course of two weeks of continous use. In addition not all of the power cords are usable if the APL35 is flush on the floor. The reason for this is that the power input is too close to the ground for one of the cords supplied. there is another cord if you have the ICECO battery which has a 90 degree angle that can be used. The original power cord is at an angle that requires the APL35 to be elevated a bit so that the cord can be used. To remedy that I ordered another cord from ICECO which was never delivered. After contacting ICECO about this issue, I was directed to take my issue up with FEDEX. A bit of a mixed review, the APL35 works great, but customer service will be lacking and there are some QC issues with cords. Check on line and you will see this as well.

Our first use was a short 4 day long weekend last week. The refrigerator/freezer met all expectations. Our previous unit (Not ICECO) had the same split compartments but tended to freeze both compartments even when the freezer side was set just below 32f and the cooler side was set 35-40f. I am happy to say that we were able to set the ICECO to -10f and 34f maintaining frozen ice and refrigerated (not frozen) fruits for the entire trip. We had it running off of our camper battery recharges with solar diring the trip and did not get a chance to run off of the porttable battery, We will make it a point to check it out next time.

The cooler is very nice. The plugs are horrible. The 12v to the cooler can’t be used because it fits in the cooler and the cord is straight down. I called Iceco about it and they said they know about the issue and are working on it. I asked if they will be sending a new useable cord out and they said no. The other issue is the 12v plug to the car port. The plug is longer and stronger spring and just pops out. So out of the 4 cords I got from the cooler and the battery only 2 are useable.
