I love my vl45. I’ve had it plugged into my Bluetti ac200p now for about a week and it is only sipping the electricity - even with the high temperatures we have been having here in Southern Oregon. Your 12 volt fridges are the best! Keep it up.

Finally graduated from cooler world to fridge world, and ran this fridge on a 10 day trip through Canadian Crown Land. This fridge kept all our food cold and safe to eat, with very minimal battery consequences. The baskets in this new design are a game changer, and make accessing things incredibly easy! The size is also great, we were able to get 10 days of food for 2 in with ease.

I was really looking forward to the free gift like it was going to be a slider or something awesome I could really use. I ended up getting a cheap bag that I immediately want to throw away. Super disappointed with it and I don’t know why I waited for this sale and woke up early to place the order. Please send me a slider so I can actually tell all of my friends you are awesome

This thing rocks. I got all into to checking it out. It only took about 40 minutes to pull the temperature down from 75degs to 15 degrees. It only used 30 watts max. I plugged it into a old battery and it ran for 2 days. I love it.

But…. And it’s a big but. Temperature Display does not read accurately. Up to ten degrees off, put two thermometers inside to check and found that the display reading read, on average, ten degrees colder than the actual temp inside. We ended up throwing away 50 lbs of meat we were getting ready to can.

Update - 14 November - ICECO has sent me a replacement Cooler after hearing about my problems with the Temperature Display. So far, everything is working as expected. Will update in the future if anything changes. I'm glad they stuck behind their product.

I didn't get to put the unit in service until a week ago. I soon discovered E3 error code, which then became E2. A fan issue.
I was impressed with the build, very nice and solid. And ICECO is sending another fan. 5 stars for the customer support response.
Of course this makes me 'nervous' going forward, but I will try to suspend that until I get the new fan installed and see how it goes. I'm optimistic.

Drink cooler and back up fridge for our small camper. No more ice!!!

Nice refrigerator, we bought it to take on a trip.

I’m happy but the AC power cord can come loose really easy and you won’t know it. For sure but the cover for it you will be glad you did. I took it out for a week and was happy. I am disappoint customer service did not answer my request to deal with the cord coming loose. The 45 qt is a great size not to big and not to small.

This is the best portable refrigerator! I use it on a daily basis and it always keeps my food cold and fresh! It doesn’t use much power and worked well with my power station! If your debating on buying any ICECO products do it! Their products are super high quality, made out of the best materials, and super durable!

I receive my VL45 back in July 2022. I have to say I am very pleased with it and its performance. I work 2 events in the Mojave desert, 1 in spring and the other end of summer. I am usually out there for 12 to 25 days.

My first one’s DC port stopped working the first week I had it. The customer service was great and I got a replacement one and it works great.

On average I can get about 38+ hours on my 600w solar generator keeping my VL45 at proper refrigerator temperature. The one problem I have is not with the VL45 but with the AC 12v cord. It can easily become unplugged, but if you don't move it great. All and all I highly recommend this product and have recommended it to my friends and family.

Ran a 48-hour initial test on both AC and DC power sources. With a setpoint of 34 deg F, it oscillated between 30 and 36 deg, and agreed exactly with my thermometer placed inside. The insulating cover was clearly working, since the fridge lid was much cooler to the touch under the cover. Looking forward to great trips with this in the truck camper.

So far so good, getting ready to start using it this summer.

Just got it and haven’t had a chance to is use it other than turning it on. Had to adjust one of the latches, no problem there. Should be a good cooler.

Great Fridge. Only complaint I have is actual temp displayed on panel does not match actual temp. At least 6 degrees off

I had my eye on this 12V compressor fridge for awhile and finally pulled the trigger for black friday. So far it has lived up to and exceeded my expectations in everyway. Absolutely love it, and can't wait to take it out!

Works very good so far. i am not impressed with the insulated cover. Fits very loose. I removed it.

I received my VL45 a few weeks ago but haven’t had the time to take it out. It’s also dropped to the 40s so I don’t really need much refrigeration right now.
I did manage to plug it in at home and got it down to 1° with all my freeze packs.
I will take it out and run it on a 100ah, solar rechargeable power system this spring. I’ll let you guys know how it goes with an update to this “review”.

Great Product, but lousy choice of shipping companies, they use Fed Ex, who couldn't deliver a package from one hand to another without dropping or loosing it.

My wife and I car camp/travel quite frequently and have been getting by with coolers for years. We spent $$$ on two coolers, one of which claims to hold ice for 8+ days. It would keep food cold for a weekend trip, but that was it. If we actually used bagged ice, the melted water would get into our prepared food containers and soak our food. Now that we camp/travel with our toddler, we have even more food to bring. It took one weekend trip packing two coolers to convince me it's time for a fridge. I can fit two coolers worth of food (w/o the ice packs of course) into this fridge. It lives in the bed my tacoma at this point. When it's time to pack for an adventure, I plug it in and it cools quickly. I either plug it into the outlet in the bed of my truck or my Goal Zero power pack. It's made food prep and packing so much easier. I've also greatly appreciated having it for grocery runs that can sometimes be and hour from home.

This isn’t a plastic cooler. Solid metal build all’s round let’s you jam it in with the stack of gear without worrying about damage. Not noted in the instructions- if you can’t easily reach the control panel and it loses power- it automatically comes back on at your last setting when power is restored. Great for difficult packs where the panel is not always accessible.

Fridge & cover arrived with no dramas. Tested the fridge out over a hot, July Colorado weekend using my homemade solar generator. The Iceco did great even when sitting in direct sunlight for a bit. Very quiet and reasonably stable internal temperature. I had the fridge set at 30*F and internal readings never went above 40*F even when opening and closing lid to take temp readings. Very satisfied thus far. Looking forward to hitting the 4x4 trails with it later this summer & during hunting season.
