Can you put ice in the Jp or Vl series if you dont have plug in power?
we suggest not to do that because JP and VL series is DC refrigerators, they need to plug in power source to keep cooling.
Overall the portable refrigerator is a great value. My only real complaint is the insulated cover; I wish you didn't have to unzip it to open the lid. I've seen others (ARB) that the insulated top attaches only to the lid and is easier to open and close.
For the price, this is a better overall product than both Dometic and ARB in my opinion (owned Dometic, used ARB).
I have had my jp 50 for about two months and I absolutely love it.
It holds temperature without any problems, being that I am a over the road trucker I keep it plugged into my 1900 watt inverter never has it ever drained my batteries!!! I just only wished that I had invested in this product a long time ago could have saved me money on those dorm room refrigerators. Lol. I love it so much that I will be purchasing a jp 30 to have by me between the seats while driving!!!
Thanks iceco for such a great product.
Out of the box on an 85 degree day. Turned it on and was down to 30 degrees in no time at all. Should have timed it, but seemed less that a half hours time, maybe less!

I have been researching and looking for a durable and practical 12V refrigerator with a good price and found ICECO to be the perfect match of our family need, I called their US support before made purchase, they explained different models to me and I decided JP50 is what we are looking for, while I also purchased JP40 for my dad.
This is a nicely designed and constructed fridge. It came with an AC cord, a DC cord, and a DC extension cord. The spring loaded carrying handles came disassembled but were easy to install. It also came with an insulated cover that fits perfectly.
I purposely waited to write this review until after I've had a chance to give this fridge a through test and I couldn't be happier. Messing with ice chests was a huge pain and is now a thing of the past!
