Hello, I just bought a dual zone dometic style, but had to return it because the larger side was the freezer. I do need a freezer, but I need the fridge to be the bigger side on the unit. Can both sides on the VL65 freeze?
Hi, VL65 is a dual zone electric cooler, you can adjust the temperature according to your needs and decide which side shoule be used for freezer or fridge, or shut down one of the zone for energy saving to use it as a single zone fridge or freezer.
What other accessories does this model come with other than the other ones?
it has multipule options, you can select the VL65+cover or VL65+slide mount or VL65+cover+slide mount.
What is the difference between the 68.7QT 65 Dual Zone Combo and the 65 fridge freezer?
combo is fridge/freezer with other accessories, VL65 just a fridge/freezer
Does this come with a cover?
you can choose the selection “VL65+Cover”
I only gave it 4 stars because the unit itself is just too dang big. The room inside is great but this thing won’t fit in the spaces I intended. Don’t know what I’m gonna do now? Also it’s supposed to keep within a 5 degree temperate from what you set but mine gets as far as 7 degrees. Don’t get me wrong the combo is awesome and it keeps food cold as it should.
I could not be more pleased with my new Iceco VL65D! I’ve been researching 12VDC refrigerators for almost a year. When I discovered IceCo, I vacillated between the VL60 and VL65 dual zone models. I wanted the added versatility of dual compartments, but was unsure of the size. In the end I chose the larger VL65D and have no regrets. It’s the perfect size and height for a bench seat in my tiny house FEMA trailer conversion. It’s energy efficient, has clean lines, outstanding fit and finish, and boasts an industrial build quality. What’s not to love?
It arrived exactly when you said it would. Great looking product out of the box. We had planned on taking it on a road trip right away but the trip was postponed so we powered it up and tested all the functions anyway. Everything appeared to function properly, it cooled quickly and we were impressed how quiet it is while running.
Fresh off our first trip (3,000 miles, 2 national parks, 2 guest houses, 1 Hoover Dam, 1 zoo and 1 ghost mining town) ... I can absolutely recommend the Iceco VL65! We packed enough food in the fridge for several days as well as some in the freezer. We kept it powered all week long with the Jackery 1000, which we kept topped off with a solar panel.
Because we didn't have much food to keep in the freezer we ended up turning that into a fridge as well so we had double the space.
This thing is a beast as far as size and only sips on the power so it's super efficient.
Very high quality, easy to use, compressor is quiet and it looks good in back of our Toyota Tundra.
And the price ... super low compared to others in the market. Very happy with our purchase!
beautiful efficient quiet. cools good freezes around 20
. hinges are light duty but lids are light. wierd that its portable but it has to stay upright. sucks it has to be unplugged to charge source. veey inconvenient. it requires alot of care for something offgrid oriented. should be white reflect heat. too many vents so it cant be against a surface should leave the back closed use a computer fan inside. and seriously do something about the tourchurous non customer service. i dont think i want to deal with the lack of service again.
ICECO VL65 comes with AC and DC power cord, you can use it outdoors or at home.
The tough and robust design allows it has a good performance on a dumpy road. ICECO portable fridge can keep running in slopes under 40 degrees.
Dual Zone Design
You can set the same temperature for the freezer on both sides or set be cooler than the other. Moreover, you can choose to turn off one zone for the purpose of energy-saving or capacity requirements.
